Houses of Parliament, London

Claude Monet
1904
But where have the Houses of Parliament gone?

Contrary to the title of the work, the real subject of this painting is not the Houses of Parliament in London. However, Monet did paint the building eleven times after returning from his second visit to London, in 1887. What interested the artist was the light and the effects created by variations in it.
