In accordance with articles 38, 39 and 40 of act no. 78-17 dated 6 January 1978 (the French data protection act), you have the right, free of charge, to access, rectify, change and object to the use of data concerning you or concerning deceased people of whom you are the successor in title. Intellectual property and public cultural information

  1. The general structure of the website, and the database software and structure, are the exclusive property of Lille City Council. The particular structure of the website, and the content of the databases, are the exclusive property of the Palais des Beaux-Arts/Lille City Council.
  2. The structure of the site, in addition to all photographs, texts and other graphics, are protected by French intellectual property law.
  3. Any reproduction, representation, use, provision or modification of the site and/or its component elements, in whole or in part, by any procedure whatsoever, is strictly prohibited without the prior written agreement of the Palais des Beaux-Arts/Lille City Council.
  4. Any reproduction, whole or partial representation, use, adaptation, provision or modification of these elements by any procedure whatsoever, by anybody whomsoever and by any means whatsoever (including but not limited to sale, marketing and rental) without the express authorisation of the museum, of any authors or their beneficiaries, is strictly prohibited and constitutes an offence of counterfeiting under the terms of the French intellectual property code.
  5. Moreover, the user of the site may not, by any means or procedure and for any purpose whatsoever, including for personal use: 
    - download, copy or broadcast, in any form whatsoever, including by making it available on a network, or by public communication, all or part of the site
    - use data crawling techniques, robots or similar data collection or extraction methods
    - manipulate or display all or part of the site using a "framing" technology or similar technique
    - transfer elements liable to change all or part of the site, including the images published on it and any of its editorial content
    - use all or part of the site for purposes other than those described by these conditions of use.

Credited photographs are the exclusive property of their authors and are used by the museum with the authorisation of their authors or beneficiaries. Photographs credited to © RMN-Grand Palais / [ …] are the property of RMN-GP. Any non-commercial reuse is permitted subject to mentioning the source and the author. For any commercial and/or editorial reuse of images of the museum's collections or of the stage design of exhibitions and other cultural events organised by the museum and falling within the responsibility of RMN-GP, please contact the Réunion des Musées Nationaux - Grand Palais photo agency (http://www.photo.rmn.fr/). The photographs illustrating the artist biographies are taken from Wikipedia Commons.

  1. Written texts:

The museum is the transferee of the texts used in tour itineraries and labels explaining works, including those written by ARTIPS. These written texts may be reused freely, providing they are not altered, their meaning is not distorted, and their sources and the date they were last updated are mentioned. Any commercial reuse is subject to the museum's prior express authorisation. For any request of this kind, please contact the museum's Communication and Development Department.

The brands of the museums and its partners, and the logos featuring on the site, are trademarks registered with the INPI (French National Industrial Property Institute), and are accordingly protected by intellectual property law.

Any use of elements on the site for the total or partial reproduction of these brands and/or logos without the express authorisation of their owners is strictly prohibited and constitutes an offence of counterfeiting under the terms of the French intellectual property code.

Public administrative information

The information and programming content on this site is public administrative information under the terms of act no.78-753 dated 17 July 1978. This information may be reused freely, providing it is not altered, its meaning is not distorted, and its sources and the date it was last updated are mentioned.

The ownership of public administrative information is not transferred to the reuser. The latter enjoys a personal, non-exclusive right to reuse this public administrative information. Any person reusing public information in breach of the aforementioned guidelines may be subject to a sanction handed down by the commission for access to administrative documents.

Cookies

The information used must only be used for personal, charitable or professional purposes; any use for commercial or promotional purposes is prohibited.

The museum is not responsible for the content of the said other sites, and shall not be held liable for any resulting damage or prejudice. The links to other sites are provided to users solely for convenience.
