How beautiful nature is!

Arcadia refers to a region in the Peloponnese, in the south of Greece. It is also the name given to an ideal place: a utopia. From the Renaissance until the 19th century, poets and writers referred to it as an ideal country, bucolic and pastoral. Several classical painters, like La Hyre, sought to represent it in painting.
